Renowned Canadian brewery’s Belgian-inspired and bottle-refermented beers recognized among the world’s best beer.
North America (Sept. 28, 2020) – Unibroue of Chambly, Quebec, Canada is honored to announce that it has won a total of eighteen medals at the 2020 World Beer Awards including five medals for World’s Best Beer. Unibroue’s showing at this year’s competition truly distinguishes the Canadian brewery as one of the world’s best producers of Belgian-inspired and bottle-refermented ales.
Unibroue’s flagship beer La Fin du Monde is a 9% ABV bottle-refermented ale that won World’s Best Pale Belgian Style Tripel, and the brewery’s Lune de Miel, an 8% ABV Belgian-style amber ale, took home the World’s Best Flavored Honey & Maple award.
Maudite is an 8% bottle-refermented Abbey-style ale that was awarded World’s Best Dark Belgian Style Dubbel, and Blanche de Chambly, a 5% Belgian-style white ale, was awarded in two categories as both World’s Best Wheat Beer and World’s Best Belgian Style Witbier.
