Took waaaaaaaay too long, but I finally checked @altamontbeerworks off the list. Met my pops and sister for beers this past Father`s Day, along with tons of other fathers and their families -- the place was packed! FYI, if you`re looking for pointers on how to run a taproom, check these guys out. Tons of seating, the lines moved quickly, and I don`t think I`ve ever seen so much merch! And the beer, it should go without saying, is spectacular. Make the trip to Livermore, you will NOT be disappointed! #beer #craftbeer #bayareabeer

Did you know there’s a vineyard in Richmond?
In the hills next to Wildcat Canyon sits @perfusionvineyard. While they source most of their grapes from sites around the state, the crown jewel is their very own estate-grown Pinot Noir.
While not typically open for tastings, they recently hosted a Makers’ Market on the property. This was a fantastic opportunity to not only sample their wine (and olive oil), but to also check out hand-made wares from various local artisans.
Everything from custom-blown glass to jewelry to greeting cards to sauces, spices, and spreads, as well as t-shirts screen printed on site, were on offer. I went a little nuts and came home loaded down with all sorts of unique treasures.
While current land-use restrictions prevent them from having regular tasting hours, be sure to check their socials now and then for info on events where they’ll be pouring, as well as hosting. You can also get info on the artists showcased at the Market. Check ‘em out!
It truly was a treat to explore this beautiful little piece of wine country just a few miles from my own backyard. Cheers! #wine #bayareawine #makers #artists

You might recognize the dopey guy on the right, but the person on the left is my cousin. She spent most of her life in Washington State, and recently relocated to the Bay Area. We had lunch the other day. First time we’ve seen each other in 40 years. A LOT to catch up on.

Hazzah!
Been hanging on to a couple of bottles for a while now, couldn’t bring myself to open them. Until today.
Congrats @anchorbrewing on your rebirth! Thrilled the (old) brand, styles, and of course, location are all staying put! Cheers to you! 🍻
BTW, this has held up pretty well. Toffee and hazelnut is more pronounced, but the bitterness and that steamy “tang” are still there. Can’t wait to knock back a fresh one! #anchorbrewing #anchorsteam
